Hi!
I'm Stephanie- Owner of Peaceful Parenthood. I'm a Certified Pediatric Sleep Counsellor, Perinatal Registered Nurse and proud Mom of two boys. I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse and specialize in Perinatal care from a young age. I have always been passionate about Obstetrics and have had the privilege of working as a Perinatal Nurse in a clinical setting for the past 14 years. Witnessing and guiding others as they transition into their new role as parents brings me so much joy.
Through my experience working in the hospital setting, I've seen first hand the substantial lack of in person/in home support for new parents. I've always dreamed of creating a platform that would allow me to continue to support parents as they learn to navigate the different stages of infancy and early childhood. As a mother of two myself, I know first hand the detrimental effects of sleep deprivation and how it can impact every aspect of one's daily life. I found myself personally reaching out to a professional sleep counsellor for guidance- and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my family. I found the science behind pediatric sleep to be fascinating, and decided to pursue my certification as a Pediatric Sleep counsellor. It was then that the idea for Peaceful Parenthood was born- a service that gives parents the option of in home one on one support for all things sleep.
My number one goal as your sleep counsellor will be to show you that it is possible to teach your child to fall asleep unaided while still consoling and comforting them in the process. To help you provide your child with the reassurance they need to feel safe within their sleep environment and confident within their daily routine. Through one on one virtual or in person support I will be there to coach you every step of the way. Raising a child takes a village, and I would love to be a part of yours.
